One of our agents was sent to investigate the American Wing only to find himself in a staring contest with someone, or something, standing by a window on the second floor.

The glowing eyes glared down for nearly 30 seconds before the dark figure disappeared. Further investigation found four witnesses claiming only to have spotted an individual in a black cloak running through a corridor into the Marmion Room and mysteriously vanishing. The door to the Alexandria Ballroom was secured, seemingly leaving only the entrance through the corridor for escape. Thorough examination concluded that no alternative exits from the gallery exist.

It’s been a long time, watchers. Now is the time to start believing again.

Attractive, fenced in space seemingly used for storage of old statues...

After several nights of watching and listening, our agent on the scene observed a figure draped in black descend through the doors, but never saw anyone leave. The entrance is this abandoned elevator shaft and the contents and details of what lies beneath are still unknown.

Off to the side is an old, seemingly defunct shaft not appearing to be fully abandoned after all.

When our agent tried to pull out his camera as the figure appeared, he was immediately approached by a woman wearing a form-fitting gray suit with long braided hair who told him in a serious and, as he describes, terrifying tone unusually low and manly for her appearance, “Leave now and do not return.” He described her eyes as orange with catlike, elongated pupils and went with his instinct to retreat. He looked away for an instant and, without seeing where or how she went, he turned his eyes back and she was gone. Our operative has not returned to the scene and still refuses to leave headquarters after dark.

Disclosing this information was a hard decision in terms of his and our collective safety at EOS, but I felt the information needed to be posted. These pictures were taken the day before our agent was approached by the mysterious woman, before seeing the figure go through the doors. More will be shared as the story develops.

Barely visible in the distance, one can see a spec just over the center of the Brooklyn Bridge.

There have been many unidentified flying objects over the decades and much photographic evidence. This spectacle, however, was not some glare in the sky over farm towns in Middle America. It was not shiny nor metallic nor round. This was a picture taken right here in New York City, near the southern tip of Manhattan, a place known to have very strict airspace regulations. As anyone should know, airspace regulations here are serious business.

Note that a closer look reveals a slender, low-profile figure flying above the water.

 
This snapshot was taken just weeks ago by an eyewitness taking the ferry to Staten Island.  The object appears to be rather slender and notably smaller than a plane. There are theories circulating about it being a human, or human-like, being in flight. However, I must interject my brief and biased opinion as Communications Commander here at EOS. These theories might be tainted by the exciting discovery of the man who just yesterday flew from the balcony of a building in Ward VII. It is not our place to become hasty and hopeful but rather to present evidence that the public may stay informed.

We cannot rule out the idea of this perhaps being a person, mutant or alien. We cannot disregard that man we saw soaring through the air. We can, however, keep digging into evidence and delivering our findings so that you may judge for yourselves. Search on, followers, and thank you for your participation.

Our agent did a double-take and decided to zoom in with his camera to get a better look. His instincts proved to be right on target. After this unidentified man spotted Agent Epsilon, he looked markedly alarmed.

Spotting our agent, the man looks at the camera with a slight glint of fear in his eyes.

Then, in no longer than it takes to blink, the man propelled himself off the front of the balcony and took flight! It all happened so quickly, and Agent Epsilon was caught so off-guard, that his soaring around the side of the building, down Broadway and away happened too quickly for our agent to pull his camera out of zoom and capture the motion in time.

As naturally as a bird dropping from a windowsill, the man flies off the perch and into the air.

This is the most compelling evidence the EOS team has found to date. We feel motivated beyond words to push this cause further than ever previously dreamed possible. With such a breakthrough discovery, we are confident that this evidence will convert more citizens to join the cause, encourage our devotees to send in new leads, and steer us to even bigger revelations in the future.

The need for superhelp increases.

We’ve been warning you of a dark presence, we didn’t realize how literal we were being. Luke? Han? Mace? Help us, Obi Wan, you’re our only… Oh forget it. They’re not coming. It’s impossible. Ridiculous. This is getting a bit out of control.

There must be someone. Someone? Paging Dr. Manhattan, Dr. Manhattan please pick up the white courtesy phone. The one that hasn’t yet been rendered entirely ineffective after being violently ripped from the ground. Anyone have a TIE fighter on hand?

I have reason to believe that one of my coworkers has been honing their skills of water/ice manipulation. Not only was this block formed as if from the base of the sink up, in the direction of the spout; but closer examination of the strata of bubbles reveals that this specimen was formed deliberately, layer by layer.

The ice chunk in this sink has been formed around its drain cover.

In balmy southern California, this ice appears to have frozen around the metal.

Examine the layering of the bubbles formed, and their upward movement.

It could be that there was a follow-up letter for that dreaded phone call on Gramercy’s 3^rd Avenue and 16^th Street corner– it’s a simple hop on the N train from Union Square over to Queensboro Plaza (or an even quicker route from the 4/5 to 59^th and a transfer to the N/W) that takes a maximum of 35 minutes, not taking into account the possibility of superspeed or flight. Perhaps all of this results from a long-brewing dispute with origins at the phone just down the street from this mailbox. These points plot neatly.

Putting all the possibilities for such connections aside for a moment, let us consider scenarios for a letter to exist entirely independent of any other forms of communication. The first possibility springing to mind is the last common correspondence that hasn’t fully pulled away from paper mail service: bills. One could imagine the Human Torch receiving quite an electric bill for the months of July and August – and if he’s rooming with Thing, well, that could be a recipe for a nasty stone-on-stone disaster producing results not unlike those seen below… but let’s not get carried away here.

The nature of said letter or parcel, just as the subject of the conversation in Gramercy or that of the mysterious phone call that occurred a couple blocks from this pictured location, is pointless to speculate. One thing is for sure; there is someone (or, there are multiple individuals) out there with physical power unlike that of any ordinary human being. Perhaps it’s best that we take these innocuous reminders for what they are — Proof: that there is an evil air most definitely stirring. Reassurance: that superheroes are out there, and they are on our side.

Earlier this afternoon, one of our allied agents spotted another demolished public phone on the corner of 24^th Avenue and 28^th Street in Astoria, Queens. It was obvious this incident had happened some time ago, judging by the rust and the debris strewn about it. A local woman was questioned but provided little information, noting only that she’d known it to be that way for “quite some time.”

Given the freshness of the 3^rd Avenue scene, as well as the differences in decimation style, it may be assumed that these events aren’t related, though we do not rule out the possibility of a connection.

Again, we must note, this appears to be a benign tantrum insofar as it is unlikely anyone could have been physically harmed by the act. It is, however, difficult not to speculate exactly what would be motivating these gifted individuals to commit such acts of vandalism. This is surely not villainous work. None of these episodes seems to be malicious or premeditated.
